DaWastl (*1976), Graz has devoted himself entirely to poetry and play on words. He has been touring the stages in the German-speaking countries since 2019. He loves public speaking and calls himself a serious literary verb-breaker, convicted of fatal rhyme-breaking. But please don’t get distracted, because otherwise the words will fail afterwards. Leonie May (*2002), Wien is the reigning state champion of Upper Austria and Salzburg in the poetry slam. With her velvety soft voice, she envelops the audience as soon as she enters the stage and captivates with her lyrics. It’s mostly about equality, about what the woman really wants and not accepting what is wanted. Whether poetry, prose, epic – one thing is certain – her texts are always epic. Klaus Lederwasch (1975), Graz is an author, singer-songwriter, two-time Austrian champion in the poetry slam (2012 individual, 2017 team) and Styrian-Carinthian runner-up 2019, as well as curator, workshop leader and moderator and chairman of the 1st Graz reading stage. He publishes in literary magazines and anthologies and performs throughout the German-speaking world. Current solo program: “Egotrip for two” with Mario Tomic. Estha Sackl (*1991), Steindorf Estha is a slam poet, performance artist and educator. Since 2010 she has lived in Graz, where she studied two teaching subjects and is currently working in social education. Born in Carinthia, the highlights of her artistic work include the production of her first own play and the participation in two German-language poetry slam championships. Christine Teichmann (*1964), Graz is a slam poet, author, actress and cabaret artist. She has been on stage with her texts since 2011 and has won cabaret prizes such as the “Reinheimer Satirelöwin 2021” and the “Freistädter Frischling 2019”. She was a finalist at the Austrian Championships in Klagenfurt in 2018 in the individual competition and was runner-up with Wittrich in the Team Slam, which she was able to defend in Linz in 2021. Mario Tomic (1983), Graz Is responsible for the Graz slam scene and organizes both the U20 work and the large lecture hall slams with around 500 visitors there. So he is organizer, moderator and slammer at the same time. The native Bosnian came to Graz via Germany in 2004 and has stayed here. When he is not working on slam texts, his attention is devoted to painting and drawing. Daniel Wagner (*1984), Lörrach wohnt seit 2005 in Heidelberg, wo er Germanistik, Geschichte und Latein studierte. Er ist seit fast 20 Jahren als Slam Poet im gesamten deutschsprachigen Raum unterwegs und inzwischen Rekord-Finalist bei den deutschsprachigen Poetry Slam Meisterschaften. Sein Programm hat sich seit seiner Bühnenpremiere in Richtung Kabarett entwickelt, was sich durch seine Teilnahme bei der Kabarettbundesliga zeigt. Moderation: Lukas Hofbauer (1996), Klagenfurt/Graz After graduating from high school, Lukas moved to Graz, where he is now part of the core team of the slam scene. In addition to his own successful appearances, he has also taken on numerous organizational tasks and is diligently active in scene and youth work. In Carinthia, he mainly took on the role of moderator, which he does more than great.
