The European Tolerance Talks (June 1 to 4, 2022) will again be broadcast in full and live on the Internet this year. “We want to make it possible for the many international supporters of our dialogue forum to be there if they are unable to come themselves,” says Superintendent Manfred Sauer from the Carinthian organizer Denk.Raum.Fresach. With this year’s topic “CHANGE – How does the new get into the system?” the tolerance talks are under the impression of the turning point in Europe. “The pandemic, aggressive war in Ukraine and the resulting exploding energy and living costs are challenges that can probably only be overcome with a RESET button,” says Sauer. The small Carinthian mountain village of Fresach is again coming up with big names this year, including “capital author” Robert Menasse and the Ukrainian writer Juri Andruchowytsch, climate researcher Georg Kaser, tourism pope Jürgen Schmude, cultural scientist Ina Schmidt, Islamic scholar Ahmad Milad Karimi and ORF Moscow correspondent Carola Schneider. All lectures and discussions will be streamed in real time via Youtube and Facebook.
