On Feb 25th, the Governor of Carinthia, Peter Kaiser, presented the program and goals of the European Tolerance Talks 2021 in Klagenfurt – together with Villach’s Vice Mayor Gerda Sandriesser, Superintendent Manfred Sauer and the President of the Board, Hannes Swoboda, “The pandemic has brought about many changes – one of the most important changes is the type of encounter, ”the speakers agreed. For the first time in history, a pandemic united the people in a joint effort to vaccinate and overcome the crisis, emphasized Kaiser. The European tolerance talks are a good example of how important it is to deal with difficult issues, even in times like these. All the more he thanked those responsible that the talks can take place despite all adversities, said the governor. In any case, the talks will take place online – if the situation allows, according to the organizers, but with the necessary protective measures, personal encounters will also take place on site.
