Since 2006, the German Television Station ARD is organizing a theme week to cover socially relevant topics. This year, the main focus was devoted to “tolerance” of any kind. From 15th to 21th November 2014 all ARD programs, all Third television programs as well as the radio waves and related online portals explored the many facets of the topic under the motto “different than you think“. The project was led by “Bavarian Radio”. Ahead there was heavy social media criticism, especially because of the advertising campaign for tolerance, but then the features, documentaries and reports were praised generally.
